As cliché as it may sound, Anita was truly destined to create stunning stationery. Her fascination with computers began at a young age when she discovered Microsoft Paint and started crafting custom greeting cards for friends and family. That spark ignited a lifelong passion that led her to complete a 3-year Graphic & Web Design program at John Abbott College.

After graduation, Anita spent two years honing her skills as a graphic designer for the major Canadian retailer Dollarama. Yet, she knew there was more to explore. She left her first design job and enrolled in the Design program at Concordia University, all while balancing her studies with a part-time graphic design role at another major Canadian retailer, Bouclair Home.

Three years later, Anita graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, all while continuing to freelance and run an Etsy boutique. Her corporate experience and entrepreneurial spirit came together to fuel her journey of blending creativity with business, eventually leading to the launch of Pixelcouture.

Pixelcouture Studio started as a side hustle while Anita balanced school and work, but deep down, she always knew she wanted to grow her business. After about a year of steady progress, her Etsy boutique began to gain momentum. With this newfound success came a pivotal decision: stay in the comfort of her corporate job or take the ultimate risk. In April 2017, Anita chose to take the leap and pursue her blossoming business full-time, dedicating herself fully to Pixelcouture Studio and turning her passion into a thriving reality!

Since 2017, Pixelcouture Studio has blossomed into a thriving business, fuelled by Anita’s passion for creating customized greeting cards for every occasion. Recognizing a gap in the market, she introduced a unique twist: allowing clients to personalize their cards with custom text, lettering colours, and envelope shades. With over 60,000 sales, Anita is proud to say her small business has transformed into something truly extraordinary!

Fun Fact: Anita not only designs unique greeting cards but also creates one-of-a-kind wedding invitations and stationery!
